If you have lost your German passport or identity card, or if it has been stolen, please contact us immediately. This is the only way to prevent misuse of the lost document and enable us to help you obtain a new passport / identity card as quickly as possible.

An appointment is required to report the loss to the Consulate General in Lagos and the Embassy in Abuja.

The following documents are required to report the loss:

• Fully completed loss report form
• Police report of the loss
• Copy of the data page of the lost document
