As of July 1st 2026 , the German Consulate Lagos has switched to the foreign portal for processing family reunification visa applications.
Applicants that previously registered for an appointment on the waiting list for family reunion and ALREADY have a registration number DO NOT NEED TO CREATE AN ACCOUNT on the Foreign Portal. Applicants will receive an appointment once it’s their turn. The Consulate schedules appointments in strict chronological order of the waiting list. The list is still valid! Once all applicants from the waiting list have received an appointment, applicants who have registered themselves on the Foreign Portal will receive an appointment.

Note on barrier-free access
The entrances to the Consulate General are only barrier-free to a limited extent. The locks and doors are wide enough, but do not have automatic closers or openers. Parking spaces are not available at the Embassy. If you need assistance, please contact us in advance.
