Welcome
Release of a blocked account
If your visa application was formally rejected, you will receive a rejection letter. This letter is usually sufficient for the bank to release your account or for the university to (partially) refund your tuition fees.
If you cancelled your application or withdrew due to incomplete documentation and did not receive a formal rejection letter, or if your rejection letter is not accepted, you must book an appointment via our website for a consular declaration. You can book the appointment via our booking system here.
The correct appointment category is as follows:
Legal and consular affairs > Consular services for Germans and Nigerians abroad.
Please note:
- Each applicant must book a separate appointment
- The fee for this service is 36 EUR payable in Naira
- We cannot contact the bank or university on your behalf
- We are not able to assist with fees or deposits that are non-refundable. You must handle all financial claims directly with the institution involved. All investments and payments are at your own risk.
ATTENTION: If your visa application has not yet been officially rejected or you have not yet cancelled or withdrawn from the visa application process and you:
- are still on the waiting list
OR
- your visa appointment has already been scheduled but has not yet taken place,
please withdraw from the waiting list or cancel your appointment before coming to the consulate. Please also bring proof of your withdrawal/cancellation (e.g. confirmation mail).
